The Mount Colah Cricket presentation evening was held on Saturday March 29, 2025 at Asquith Bowling Club. As per previous years, the event comprised of two sessions – juniors at 6 pm then seniors at 7:30 pm. Every junior player was awarded a trophy and all players received a lucky door ticket with meat trays, shirts, hats, bats and many other cricket prizes on offer.

Continuing the trend from last season, the club has grown with a great increase in junior numbers. Mount Colah now fields a Junior Blasters team, 2 x U8 teams (Gold & Maroon), U9, U10, U11, stage 1 Girls & U12 junior teams.

The presentation evening also included a special guest – Australian cricketer Ellyse Perry!
Ellyse presented an autographed shirt to the Stage 1 girls all-rounder Xinia Z. Ellyse graciously stayed back and signed items and joined in countless selfies with the kids!

The second session was the seniors awards ceremony. Mount Colah has three senior teams – B2, C3 and D grade. All teams performed well with the B2 team making the semi-finals. The coveted Bruce Kimberley award for best senior player went to B2 player Matt Verduin – 421 runs @ 46.8. The Eshaan Khan trophy is awarded to a player under the age of 18 who contributes to the club and shows great team spirit and positivity. This year it was awarded to Caidan G. Martyn Budden received the club person of the year trophy. Paul McSweeney presented Jordan Whitehorn with a Mustangs hoodie signed by legendary Australian cricketer Doug Walters to recognise his great work as senior co-ordinator.
