The Mount Colah Cricket Club held its presentation evening on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Asquith Bowling Club. The event featured two sessions — juniors at 6:00 pm followed by seniors at 7:30 pm. Every junior player received a trophy, and all attendees were given a lucky door ticket with plenty of prizes up for grabs, including meat trays, shirts, hats, and bats.

The club continues to grow stronger each year, with junior participation reaching new highs. Mount Colah now fields an impressive line-up of teams: Junior Blasters, U8, two U9 teams (Gold and Maroon), two U10 teams (Gold and Maroon), U11, Stage 1 Girls, and U13. The senior teams this season were C1, C3, and C4 grade.

The junior session saw over 75 enthusiastic young players in attendance. Jack B. was named Junior Cricketer of the Year, while Quinn W. received a special ball trophy for achieving a rare hat-trick against Berowra Red.

The seniors’ ceremony followed, celebrating another strong season. All three senior teams performed well, with the C3 team reaching the grand final. The prestigious Bruce Kimberley Award for Best Senior Player went to Atul Negi (C grade), who scored 523 runs at an average of 87.17 and took 21 wickets at 13. The Eshaan Khan Trophy was awarded to Bailey Thompson, and Richard Croan received the Club Person of the Year award.

A highlight of the evening was a special presentation to Martyn Budden, recognizing his incredible 28 years of service to the club. Martyn was presented with a framed Mustang shirt featuring a plaque of his career statistics, a tribute to his long-standing commitment and contribution. Although he is moving interstate, Martyn has promised to fill in for the Mustangs whenever he’s back in town. Thank you, Martyn, for everything you’ve done for Mount Colah Cricket.

Congratulations to all Mount Colah teams on an outstanding 2025/26 season! The presentation evening was a tremendous success — see below for the full list of award winners.
